Bonnie Elizabeth Porter-Slaton

A celebration of life service for Bonnie Slaton will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Stonewall, Mississippi.  Burial will take place at a later date in Elmira, New York.

Mrs. Slaton, age 60, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016, at Rush Hospital.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Bobby Slaton, of Meridian; children, Edward Morrison and Thomas Porter of Elmira, New York, Sylina Taskey, Tonya Garrett, Shavon (Tommy Fraiser) Porter and David Slaton, all of Meridian; grandchildren, Scott Taskey, Jr., Austin Garrett, Veronika Porter, Dominic Taskey, Dalton Garrett, Zachery Wilkerson, Stephany Taskey, Kody Wilkerson, Kaylyn Porter, and Trey Porter; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Roger and Paula Pate.

She was preceded in death by her first love and father of her children, Charles Dean Porter; parents, Marcus and Cleone Buchanan; and dear friends, Jerry and Shirley Sisk.
