A Celebration of Life for Mr. Brad Parten will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Caleb Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Brad Parten, age 52, of Meridian, MS, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at his home with his wife and daughter by his side.
Brad played high school football at Meridian High School where he earned a football scholarship to The University of Southern Mississippi, playing offensive lineman. He was the Vice President of Operations at Atlas Roofing and was very proud of his work there. He loved his Atlas family.
He loved to hunt at the family camp in Alabama. Brad also enjoyed being busy with many activities including physical fitness, working on his 1983 K5 Blazer, and shooting firearms. Brad was a vivid storyteller with a personality that was larger than life to go along with his contagious laughter.
Brad was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was very open to others about his faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The strength and courage that he showed during his illness is a testimony to everyone of how Jesus is always present and is the Ultimate Healer to those who accept Him.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica McQuaig Parten, his children, Camryn Ball (Alex) and Allie Parten, parents, Alton and Lyndia Parten, brother Dewayne Parten (Dianne), nephew, Jared Parten (Lindsey), niece, Brittany Robinson (Cary) and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Julian and Julia Butler, paternal grandparents, Douglas and Ella Lorene Parten, and his uncle, Buddy Parten.
Pallbearers will be, Jared Parten, William Parten, Dave Roberts, Eric Plowman, Aaron Morris, Dewayne Parten and Daniel Lagrone.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:45 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church prior to services.
