Camie Rawson Heard Funeral services for Camie Rawson Heard will be on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Northcrest Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Lanier and Dr. Malcolm Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Heard, age 56, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Camie received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. Camie was an educator for thirty-one years, serving most of those years at Clarkdale Elementary. She was actively involved in her church, Northcrest Baptist. Camie was a former honorary chairman of Relay for Life, featured in Legends of Meridian Book, a member of Phi Mu Sorority and a lifetime advisor for Debs Social Service Club. Survivors include her husband, T.M. Heard; daughters, Haley Alexander and husband, Richmond, and Ashlie Hopkins; grandchildren, Camille Alexander, Cade and Landrye Hopkins; brother, Jamie Rawson, wife, Sheila and daughter Amy; sister, Lea Ann Branning and sons Blake and Brandon; special aunts, Sandra Stamper, Judy Layne, and Charlotte Cain; sister-in-law, Kathleen McNeil; niece, Meagan McNeil; brother-in-law, Michael Heard and wife, Karyn; dear friends, Scott and Brookley Gibson and their children, Madelyn, Hollyn Camille, and Ann Collyns. She was preceded in death by her parents, James L. Rawson Jr. and Wanda Jan Rawson; grandmother, Lois Hixson; grandparents, Lamar and Pearl Stone; and father and mother-in-law, Mel and Helen Heard. The family requests memorials be made to the Senior Adult Ministry at Northcrest Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Sam Hudson, Josh and Jordan Cain, John Layne, Tim Dean, and Wayne Raley. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John C. Clay, Cade Hopkins, Lyman Adams, Lynn Latham, and Scott Gibson.
