Funeral services for Carl Crenshaw will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:00AM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Dr. Billy Joy officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Crenshaw, age 88, of Meridian, MS passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Hospice of West AL, Tuscaloosa, AL.

He was born and raised in Grove Hill, AL. He served in the United States Air Force before making Meridian his home for over 60 years. He was a long-time member of 15th Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Head of Ushers. His family will always remember him as a loving, hardworking man who put God and his family first.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years Wavelene Crenshaw; children, Pam Allen and Ann Petrich (John); grandchildren, Brittany Thomas (Seth), Megan Adams (Cody), Jennifer Scruggs (Steve), Joseph Allen II, Chad Matheny (Tina), and Michael Robinson; great-grandchildren, Levi Thomas, Sawyer Thomas, Asher Adams, Christopher Matheny, Jake Matheny and McKenzie Robinson; and one brother, Jerry Crenshaw (Peggy).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Elna Crenshaw; son, Danny Crenshaw, son-in-law, Joseph H. Allen, Sr., and grandson, Craig Matheny.

The family request memorials be made to 15th Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund.

Pallbearers will be Don Shehane, Don Parker, Joe Chambers, Dr. Bobby Adams, Steve Williams, and Scott Crenshaw.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Albert Bartlett, Rev. Harold Scott, and Marvin Gibson.
