Carl Milner Holloway Services for Carl Milner Holloway will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Dan Lanier and Dr. Dale Holloway officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Holloway, 92, of Meridian, died, February 18, 2011 at his residence. He was retired from Real Estate and Insurance. Mr. Holloway was a charter member of Northcrest Baptist Church and the oldest member of the church. He served 14 years in the U.S. Marines as a Master Sergeant Major. Mr. Holloway was highly decorated and served 42 months in Japanese P.O.W. Camp. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Holloway never met a person he did not like. He was loved by all. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Julia M. Holloway of Meridian; son, Carl Maurice Holloway and his wife Diane of Starkville; grandchildren, David, Nathan, Kristen and Amanda; brothers, Dr. Dale Holloway of Jackson, Keith Holloway of Ceaser Community, MS; sisters, Ina Bullock of Jackson, Daphne Card of FL, Betty Barber of Jackson, Shirley Hopes of Diamondhead, MS; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Diane Holloway. Pallbearers will be his nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial be made to Northcrest Baptist Church Building Fund.
