Funeral service for Carmalene Payne will be held Thursday, April 17, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend W. D. Pigott officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Payne, 84, of Meridian passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, in Mobile, Alabama. She was a member of Daleville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Payne worked at Lockheed in Meridian.

Survivors include her son, Tony Payne and wife Joy of Madison; daughter, Deborah Lagman and husband Edward of Mobile, Alabama; grandchildren, Eric Lagman and wife Traci, Curtis Lagman and wife April and Lindsay Stuart and husband Danny; great-grandchildren, Lily and Ethan Lagman and Taylor Reece and Reagan Stuart; brothers, Sherman Fulton and wife Helen and Robert Lewis Fulton and wife, Pat.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Payne; parents Tommy Fulton and Callie Fulton Hixson and brothers, Jesse Fulton and Harold Fulton.
