Mrs. Greer, 75, of Meridian passed away peacefully Sunday, June 2, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Greer was born May 20, 1944, to the late Nolan and Ida Mae Martin (Hawkins) in Tylertown, MS.  She married her high school sweetheart in 1964 and received her B.S. in Home Economics from Mississippi College in 1966.  Above all, she was devoted to her family and her faith in Christ which she demonstrated on a daily basis – raising four children and serving her entire lifetime in church and missions.  Over the years she consistently taught Bible Study, led Bible Drill for children, mentored young married couples, and traveled to numerous countries on mission trips. She was active in the Gideons International Auxiliary for more than forty years, serving in the Meridian East Camp, where one of her greatest joys was placing Bibles in hospitals and medical clinics. She was a board member for Rush Foundation Specialty Hospital for the past several years.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Willie Greer, MD; her sister Linda Martin of Meridian; her children, Willie Greer, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Clinton, Andrea Gramm and her husband David of Hernando, Rachael Greer and her husband William Malchow of Brooklyn, NY, and Christy Turner and her husband Scott of Birmingham, AL; nine grandchildren, Emma, Anna, and Olivia Greer of Clinton, Joshua and Elizabeth Gramm of Hernando, and Madeline, Ian, Westley, and Sydney Turner of Birmingham.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
