Carolyn Beaver

A graveside service for Mrs. Carolyn Beaver will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Meador officiating.  Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Carolyn Beaver passed away peacefully on November 19, 2018 at the Bedford Care Center of Marion.

Carolyn retired from the Meridian Public School System after many years of service.

She was a member of Poplar Springs United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.  Carolyn was a part of the Shalom Sunday School class which she loved.  The constant in her life was her faith.

Many years ago in the Personal Profile section of the Meridian Star that highlighted her life, Carolyn talked about her favorite things: seafood, Milky Way candy bars, hot pink, and mid-mornings.  Her philosophy of life: Everything works out for the best.  She also said she wished she could find a cure for cancer.  Carolyn was a very loving and caring person who enjoyed her family, friends, and dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ransdell and “Tootsie” Murphy, her husband, Billy Beaver, and her two sons, Tim Beaver and Greg Beaver.

She is survived by her grandchildren Morgan Beaver and Anna Lauren Beaver of Hoover, Alabama, her cousins, Joy B. Sorrels and JoAnn Tyler, and her special friend, Buddy Cox.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Poplar Springs United Methodist Church.
