Carolyn Grace Combs

Graveside services for Mrs. Carolyn Combs will be held Monday, April 8, 2024 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at 2:00pm with her brother Butch Flanagan officiating.

Mrs. Combs, 76 of Meridian, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Baptist Anderson's Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Carolyn enjoyed watching Northcrest Baptist Church through livestream, where she watched her great-nephew, Grant play the piano and her great-niece, Lila on the guitar. Mrs. Combs loved spending her free time completing hundreds of puzzles and reading during her afternoon lunch. She loved her Girly Girl, Ginger and even took her for rides to the bank and Subway. The highlight of Mrs. Carolyn's week was spending time with her family at Sunday afternoon lunches. She loved her visits with Sue Bond, her lifelong friend, and her backdoor neighbor, Kathy Lockley. She was loved and will be dearly missed by all her friends and family.

The Combs' family would like to thank Carol Holifield for taking care of her house and being a sweet friend.

Mrs. Combs is survived by her two daughters; Sandy Rutherford (Bobby) and Candy Upchurch (Larry), grandkids; Heather Woody Lathem, Courtney Drury (Jacob), Dakota Reinke (Haley), William Combs (Cherise), Hali Rutherford, and Chase Haguewood, and numerous great grandchildren. Brother, Butch Flanagan (Cherry), and nieces; Jenifer Cannington and Jaycee Butler.

She is preceded death by her husband; Howard Combs, Jr., daughter; Brandie Haguewood, grandson; Hunter Rutherford, parents; James and Doris Flanagan, and infant brother; Larry Flanagan.

Pallbearers will be Butch Flanagan, Dakota Reinke, William Combs, Chase Haguewood, Jacob Drury, and Aiden Drury.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
