Carolyn W. Downey Graveside services for Carolyn w. Downey will be held Monday, September 13, 2010 at 11:30 at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Downey, 83, of Meridian, died Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Infinity Hospice. She was retired from the Lauderdale County Chancery Clerks office as a reporter. Mrs. Downey was a lifelong member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Caleb Morris Downey, Jr. of Meridian; daughter, Virginia Carol Downey of Ocean, NJ; son, Clint Downey of Meridian; grandchildren, Michelle Downey of NC and Caleb Downey of Dickson, TN; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. Honorary pallbearers will be the Joe Chambers Sunday School Class of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church. Visitation will be held Monday, 10-11 at the funeral home.
