Carolyn Jane Henderson Sanders Services for Carolyn Sanders will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Daleville United Methodist Church, with Reverend W.D. Pigott and Reverend Vicki Gladding officiating. Burial will be in Daleville Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Sanders, age 81, of Kemper County, died Monday, June 24, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Kemper County, graduated from DeKalb High School, and she attended Rush Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from Kemper County Hospital as the Director of Nursing. Her needle and thread were used to comfort many close and far away through her commitments to the DeKalb Quilting Club, the Red Hat Society, and the DeKalb Homemakers Club. As a lifelong member of Daleville United Methodist Church, she served many generations as The Sunday School Teacher. Survivors include her sons, Walter Sanders Jr. of DeKalb, Kirk Sanders and wife, Vicki of Southaven, MS, Scott Sanders and wife, Jeanie of Daleville. Grandchildren, Kirk Sanders, Jr., Kalen Sanders and wife, Briana, Kameron Sanders, Elizabeth Sykes and husband, Adam, Amanda Shirey, Michael Myers, Jr. and wife, ReCheal, Jennifer Tucker and husband, Matt, Jessica Roberts, Anna Beth Hollingshead and husband, Josh. Great Grandchildren, Kaylee and Kolin Sanders, Khloe Sanders, Landon and Dylan Sykes, Joshua and Allie Redmond, and Zoey Tucker. Brothers, Hurdle Henderson and wife, Seleta, and Roger Henderson. Numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to express their deepest heartfelt appreciation to her caregivers, Ann, Sabrina, Debra, Barbara, and Helen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Earl Sanders, Sr., brother, Cliff Henderson, sister, Ann Henderson Oubre, great grandchildren, Kaden Sanders and Micah Redmond.
