Catherine Hatcher Long

Mrs. Catherine Long, age 99, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Catherine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family and spending time with them. She had the biggest heart for her grandkids and great grandkids. Mrs. Catherine was always smiling and laughing. She enjoyed being outside, whether it was gardening in her flowers or fishing and crabbing. You could always find her playing bingo with friends. She was loved by so many close friends and family and will be dearly missed.

Catherine is survived by her children, Faye Griffin and James Long (Sheila); numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; siblings, Peggy Barnacastle (Curtis) and Walley Hatcher and wife.

Mrs. Long is preceded in death by her husbands, William McCormick Twilley and Lamar Axum Long; children, Bob Twilley (Danny), Mack Twilley, and Chuck Long; grandson, Tim Runnels, and multiple siblings.
