Graveside services for Mrs. Cathye Creel Hagan will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, 4795 Vimville Causeyville Road, Meridian, MS with Mr. Levi Jones officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Cathye Creel Hagan, age 65, of Meridian, MS passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Cathye was born December 30, 1958 in Meridian, MS. She was the third child and second daughter born to Jerry Irby and Mary Catherine Creel. Cathye spent most of her teenage years in Pensacola where she met her long-time best friend, Karen Powell. She met the love of her life and husband of 47 years, John Robert Hagan, in Pearl, MS. Together they built a life they loved and raised their daughters in Mississippi. Cathye worked in the banking industry prior to becoming disabled. She loved animals, especially hummingbirds, dogs, and cats. Known for having a green thumb, which she passed on to her daughter, Tehran, Cathye loved gardening and also enjoyed arts and crafts.
Mrs. Hagan is survived by her husband, John Robert Hagan; her parents, Jerry Irby Creel and Mary Catherine Creel; daughter, Tehran Harper; two grandsons, Jaron Hagan Strawbridge and Bradley Kyle Harper; brother, Jerry Dale Creel (Sheila); her siblings-in-law, Steve Kelley (Esther) of Laurel, Sonia Rae Ledlow (David) of Oklahoma City, and Jill Graves (Danny) of Searcy, AR; her nieces, Kalyn Thompson (Tyler), Kristian Ledlow Buster, and Brianna Harrelson (Will); and her nephews, Leo Estes (Kim), Joshua Ledlow (Jessica), Jeremy Creel (Sarah), and Matthew Ledlow (Cayla).
Cathye was preceded in death by her daughter, Lindsay Hagan Denison; her sister, Debbi Creel Luttrell; her grandparents, Preston and Ruby Harper and J.W. and Irene Creel.
Mrs. Cathye loved flower arrangements and the family would be honored to receive flowers. If you would prefer, memorial contributions may be shared with Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Creel, Jaron Strawbridge, Kyle Harper, Leo Estes, Matthew Ledlow, and Tyler Thompson.
