Cecilia Hunter Cook Walker Funeral services for Cecelia Hunter Cook Walker, "C.C." will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 10:00a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Walker, age 101, of Meridian, died Friday, July 1, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Meridian. Survivors include a son, A.J. Cook and his wife Gladys, of Meridian, one daughter, Euginia Smith, of meridian, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, I.E. and Mattie Eugenia Hunter, her husband, Andrew Jackson Cook, Sr., her brother, George Hunter, Sr., and two sisters, Willie Pollock and Annice Myers. Mrs. Walker was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church. She was a buyer at Marks-Rothenberg Co. for over twenty years. She worked in sales and also worked with the Lauderdale Association for Retarded Citizens. She also helped obtain a grant for Midd Meridian of Lauderdale County. The famly requests memorials be made to Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011, from 9:00a.m.-10:00a.m. at the funeral home.
