Services for Cecil J. Black will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robert Higginbotham officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Black, age 75, of Meridian, died Monday, July 16, 2012 at his residence. He worked at the Coca Cola Company, City of Meridian, and spent his whole life primarily as an artist. He is best known for his sign painting, truck designing, and wonderful art work. Survivors include his daughters, Susan Johnson and husband, Tony of Meridian, and Kim Smith and husband, Ricky of Meridian; son Jerome Black and wife, Shana of Philadelphia, MS; five grandchildren, Dustin and Kyle Johnson of Meridian, Amber and Ashley Craven of Meridian, and Ava Shayne of Philadelphia, MS; mother Bessie Black of Clarksville, TN; brother Gene Black of Clarksville, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbye Black; father, Owen Black; and sister, Betty Lynch. Pallbearers will be Tony Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Ricky Smith, Terry Tibbetts, Jeff Jones, and Jay Maone. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
