Cecil Lawrence Currie Memorial services for Cecil Currie will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Lanier and Rev. Leon Adams officiating. Mr. Currie, age 68, of Meridian, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at his home. He retired from the Meridian Police Department, where he attained the rank of Captain, and the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Survivors include his sons, Steven L. Currie (Chrischania) and Chris Currie; grandchildren, Cecil Wayne Currie, Nathan Currie, Amber Currie, and Ethan Currie; sister, Mary Lela Semmes (Joe); brother, Lee Currie (Jackie); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Jennie Currie and brothers, Bill Currie, Pat Currie, and Tim Currie. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
