Cecil Lamar Jones, Jr.

Cecil Lamar Jones, Jr, age 66, a native of Meridian, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016.

He was born on May 3, 1950 to Cecil Jones of Memphis, TN and Evelyn Tunie Wells of Meridian, both of whom predeceased him. A graduate of Meridian High School, Mr. Jones is survived by his step-father, Dudley Wells (Annie Mary) of Waynesboro, Mississippi, daughter, Jennifer Laws (Allan) of Birmingham, Alabama, sister, Linda Jones Cushing (Jack) of Greenville, South Carolina and cousins, Mary Rickles (Edward) and Terry Baxter both of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Martha Scarbrough (Robert) of Bessemer, Alabama.

The private graveside service at Burwell Cemetery was officiated by Bishop Edward Rickles of DayStar Church, Tuscaloosa, on Monday, June 27, 2016. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home assisted the family.

The family requests memorials be made to Queen City Nursing Home or Hospice.
