Cecille "Cissy" Roberts

Funeral services for Mrs. Cecille "Cissy" Roberts will be held Friday, December 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Lovett officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Cecille "Cissy" Marie Roberts, 72, of Bailey, MS, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Cissy worked for many years as a seamstress and inspector for Centerhill Shirt Factory, and then she began working in the Cardiology EKG department of Anderson Hospital which sparked a desire to enroll in nursing school in her late thirty's. She graduated from Meridian Community College with an Associate's Degree in Nursing. Cissy practiced as an ICU Nurse at Anderson Regional Medical Center for 18 years until her retirement.

She and her husband loved to vacation in The Great Smoky Mountains. They also enjoyed traveling to various flea markets in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama. Cissy was an avid collector of many items she treasured. In her last she enjoyed watching movies on Netflix, coloring on her ipad, and spending time with her beloved dog Copper.

She is survived by her children; Nina Carman (Larry) and Charlie Roberts (Stacey), grandchildren; Josh Roberts (Miller), Hannah Farve (Zach), and Alex Clark, great-grandchildren; River and Hyde McDaniel, and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles "Clawhammer" Roberts, her parents; Cecil and Velma McDonald, brother; Chuck McDonald.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandson-in-law.

In lieu of flowers: the family suggests memorial donations be made to Arkadelphia Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
