Chancellor Burns Mayfield

Funeral services for Chancellor Burns Mayfield will begin at 1:30 PM Monday, November 27, 2023 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Charlie McNeese officiating. A Private Family interment will be held at the Burns Family Cemetery.  Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Burns, 26, died Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at his family farm in Newton.

Burns was an avid outdoorsman and has loved being outdoors from an early age. Burns especially loved Turkey Hunting. He was a loving son, father, brother, and friend.

Burns is survived by his parents, John and Robyn Mayfield; his son, Chancellor "Chance" Burns Mayfield Jr.; the mother of his child, Sarah Wells; brothers, John "Monroe" Mayfield, Jr (Kim) and Paul Martin Mayfield; Nephew, John Monroe  "Trip" Mayfield, III; and twin nieces, Arlie Mayfield and Kennedy Mayfield; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Mr. Mayfield is preceded in death by  his Paternal Grandparents, James Mayfield and Verna Mayfield and Maternal Grandparents, Henry D Burns, Sr. and Betty Burns; and his aunts, Beth Hudson and Mary Lehman.

The Mayfield Family suggests memorials be made as donations to Celebrate Recovery or Anchor Church of Meridian in lieu of flowers.
