Funeral services for Charles Anderson will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove UMC with Reverends Nels Norris and Lynne Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Hamrick Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Anderson, age 88, of Bailey, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at his home.

Charles served in the United States Navy during the end of WWII and was deployed to Shanghai, China. He was a retired factory worker and loved to farm. He was a member of Pleasant Grove UMC.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Emma Ree Anderson; children, Michael Anderson (Julia), Ronald Anderson (Gloria), Becky Hurtt (Wayne), Jeff Anderson (Lynne), and Jennifer Anderson; grandchildren, Charles, Amber, Faith, Ron, Shaun, Brittany, Anna, Tommy, Elizabeth, Sarah, Will, Dan, Robby, and Joni; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Faye Grantham (Harmon); and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Haney and Onie Anderson and his siblings, Thara Hodgins, Frances Anderson, Buddy Anderson, Billy Joe Anderson, and Ada Lee Anderson.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 22, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
