Services for Charles B. Williams, Jr. will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 2:00 PM at Union Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Webb and Reverend Marcus Finch officiating. Interment will be in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Williams, 83, of the Clarkdale community died December 5, 2009 at Rush Hospital. He was a Deacon and member of Central Baptist Church of Meridian and a proud Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Sibyl Griffin Williams of the Clarkdale community, Son Greg Williams and his wife Beverly of Meridian, Son Don Williams and his wife Kathy of Carrollton, TX, Daughter Sharon Williams of Meridian, Son Mark Williams and wife Tina of Meridian, Daughter Brenda Williams Griffin of Meridian. Grandchildren Dr. Brian Williams and wife Dr. Melissa Scholes Williams of Cooperstown, NY, Kelli Williams Martin and her husband Michael of Clarksville, TN, Leah Williams Humphreys and her husband Jim of Newton, MS, James R. Williams and his wife Katie of Tallahassee, FL, Maloree Williams of Carrollton, TX, Mckenzie Griffin and Madeline Griffin of Meridian, Tiffani Yeager Minchew and her husband Matt of Meridian, Garrett Yeager and his wife Samantha of Hattiesburg, MS, Christian Reynolds of Meridian and Caitlyn Williams of Meridian. Great grandchildren Jasmine Page Gardner of Clarksville, TN, Archer Keene Williams of Cooperstown, NY, Avery Marie Humphreys of Newton and Carsyn Ansley Minchew of Meridian. He was preceeded in death by his Father, Charles B. Williams, Sr., Mother Irva Anderson Williams, Sister Norma Williams and infant brother. Pallbearers will be Brian Williams, James R. Williams, Larry Williams, Dudley Williams, Leslie Williams, Jimmy Harper and Kenny Ivey. Honorary Pallbearer will be lifelong friend R.E. Williams. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Union Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
