Charles Alton Bowen Graveside services for Charles Alton Bowen will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 3:00 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, with Reverend Kenneth Owen officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bowen, 76, of Meridian, died Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Poplar Springs Nursing Center. He was retired from the City of Meridian and was an avid football fan. Survivors include his sisters, Joan Mathis and her husband Horace of Columbus, MS, Jamie Covington and her husband Jimmie of Meridian, Joyce Bowen Thompson of Meridian; brother-in-law, Kenneth Miller of Meridian; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and James Alton Bowen; and sister, Donna Rose Miller. Pallbearers will be Monroe Thompson, Jr. Kyle Covington, Bobby Covington, Ken Miller Ricky Odom and Tommy Irby. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
