Charles E. (Bubba) Williams Graveside services for Charles E. (Bubba) Williams will be held Thursday, May 26, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. at Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Mike Allen and Reverend Marvin Cooper officiating, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Williams, 66, of Meridian, went to be with the Lord with his family at his bedside on Monday, May 23, 2011. He was a retired lumber inspector and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Centreville, Alabama. His survivors include his sisters Stella Stuart of Meridian, and Edna Barfield and her husband David of Meridian; brothers Bill Williams and his wife Martha of Whynot, George Williams and Nancy, Alvin Williams and his wife Carol, and Jerry Williams and his wife Cindy all of Meridian; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Preston Williams; his mother Burlie Mae Williams Smith; step- father Bennie Smith; sister-in-law Robin Williams and brother-in-law Ben Stuart. Pallbearers will be Tim Stuart, Jason Williams, Jason Harris, Jeff Stuart, Mike Tripi and Scott Zachry. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or the American Cancer Society.
