Charles Willard Kinard Funeral services for Mr. Charles Willard Kinard, 90, of Bonita will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Reverend Roy Dabbs officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Kinard died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Infinity Hospice in Marion. He was born in Marion in 1922. Mr. Kinard was a retired conductor with the Southern Railroad. He was also a veteran serving with the 724th Battalion in Belgium, Germany and France on the railroad during World War II. Mr. Kinard was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Bonita. Mr. Kinard is survived by a daughter, Glenda Faye Rose and her husband Billy of Vincent, Alabama; a son Charles Wayne Kinard and his wife Faye of Collinsville. He was affectionately known as papaw to six grandchildren: Scott Rose of Tampa, Florida, Kim Rose, Kathy Brashier and Kristy Childers all of Vincent, Alabama, Lori Cook of Budd Lake, New Jersey and Michael Kinard of Collinsville, Mississippi. He had thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Kinard is also survived by a sister Estelle Rodgers; two sister-in-laws Dorothy Carbone and Eloise Hatcher; a brother-in-law Everette Smith and his wife Patricia along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Kinard was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Smith Kinard; his parents Jacob Burton (Jack) and Carrie Louise Kinard and a brother Tom Carl (Buddy) Kinard. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandson: Michael Kinard, Scott Rose, Jason Childers, Eric Lewis, Elic Harris, Ryan Childers, Jacob and Shawn Kinard.
