Memorial services for Pastor C. Lamar Lifer will begin at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 04, 2024, at Faith Baptist Church in Meridian with the Reverend David Smith officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Pastor Lifer, 85, of Toomsuba, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the Regency Hospital of Meridian. Lamar was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and Pastor. He loved to spend his time with his family and in his workshop. Lamar was in the process of building a Prayer Garden for the local community. He grew up in Hattiesburg, where he began pastoring at the age of 17 and started a Church with his sister, Linnie. He graduated from William Carey University. He later went on to Pastor in five different states, along with leading Revivals across the Country. While pastoring in Arkansas, he had the opportunity to become the President of the Pastor's Convention and serve on committees within the Southern Baptist Convention. Lamar had a passion for mentoring young Pastors and ministering to retired Pastors. He even went onto writing and teaching a Prayer journal that he loved to share with others. He was the current Pastor of Salem Baptist Church in Toomsuba for the last ten years, where he loved to serve the Lord and his Church members. C. Lamar "Poppi" was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Pastor Lifer is survived by his wife, Dianna Lifer; daughter, Marci Miller; son, Andy Lifer; grandchildren, Bethany Hudgens (Gabriel) and Beau Miller; great-grandson, Levi Hudgens; bonus children, Richard Drousche (Sharon), Carolyn Dixon (Jed), and Michael Drousche (Patti); sister, Linnie Scarbrough (Randy) and nephew, Jonathan Golden, as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Pastor Lifer is preceded in death by his first wife, Janie Lifer and parents, Rudy and Evelyn Lifer.
