Charles R. Moore

Graveside services for Charles R. Moore will be held Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 11:30 p.m. at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, with Reverend Brent Manasco officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Moore, age 85, of Meridian, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at his residence.

Charlie served in the U.S. Air Force for 12 years. He then served as a MS Highway    Patrolman for another 12 years. Then Charlie worked for Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department for 2 years. He was an owner/operator for M & M Trucking for over 20 years and he also worked for Ryder Trucking and was head of security at Dalewood for several years.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Diane Alexander Moore; children, Billy Moore (Beth), Jean Jordan (Stevie), Harold Moore (Andrea); grandchildren, Kacey Moore, Keeley Smith (David), Pepper Foster, Brandy Broussard, Shane Wilson (Julia), Andrew Moore, Christopher Moore, Samuel Moore and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Trueman and Lila Earl Moore; and brother, Rayford (PeeWee) Moore.
