Charles I. "Charlie" Smith, Jr. Funeral services for Charlie Smith will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Brother Jimmy Harrison officiating. Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Smith, 66, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Silverleaf Manor in Meridian, MS. Charlie was a graduate of Meridian High School and received his Associates of Arts Degree from Meridian Community College. He retired from Pioneer/Barnes Group after more than 30 years. Charlie had many physical struggles throughout his life, but always maintained a sense of humor and a positive attitude. He dearly loved his family, friends and his Heavenly Father. He is survived by his sister, Margie Gebhart and her husband, Dean, of Jackson; niece, Michelle Gebhart Neilson, and her husband, Hal, of Oxford; nephew, Dr. Leland Gebhart and his wife, Marty, of Jackson; as well as five great-nieces and two great-nephews.
