Charles Lee Snowden Charles Lee Snowden was born March 1, 1923, to Ody Lee and Julia Snowden. He had two siblings, Fred Snowden and the late Ruth Blankenship. He was a World War II veteran and had retired as a general contractor. After his retirement, he enjoyed gardening with friends, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family. He is survived by his wife of seventy-two years and the love of his life, Rita Snowden. Together, they had two sons, Rick Snowden and his late wife Carol Ann and Tim Snowden and his wife, Sherry. He had five grandsons, Dan Snowden, Andrew Snowden and his wife, Carolyn, Matt Snowden and his wife, Meredith, Mark Snowden and his wife, Natalie and Brian Snowden and his wife, Sarah Beth. He especially loved his great-grandchildren, Dalton, Robin, Hallie, Molly Katherine, Wes, Sierra, Mia, John Taylor, Ella, Mackenlee, Logan and Ethan Snowden. He also loved his church and served as a deacon. Mr. Snowden died Monday, November 25, 2013, at his home. There will be a private family funeral and Robert Barham Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
