A memorial service for Mr. Charles Ross Spencer, "Ross", will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Rev. Austin McGehee officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Charles Ross Spencer "Ross", passed away peacefully on December 9, 2023. He was born November 18, 1944, to the late Robert and Rebecca Spencer in Indiana. He graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1963 and went on to graduate from the University of Mississippi in 1967, with a bachelor's degree. Ross' passion for architecture led him to travel and live in many different vibrant cities such as New York City and Miami Beach, FL. He had the artistry gift to turn simple décor into elegancy. His passion and talent earned him the pleasure of working for famous art galleries such as Wally Finley Gallery and Hammer Art Gallery in New York City, NY. Ross could light up a room with laughter bringing dry humor and memorable conversation. In his personal time, he enjoyed riding his bicycle in South Beach, spending time by the ocean, reading literature, and spending time with his family and friends. Many will remember him as a loved soul that brought so much magic to their world. He was a loving brother, uncle, and friend that everyone was blessed to have in their life.
Ross is survived by his twin sister Barbara Gail Wirght of Meridian, sister Nedra Spencer of Meridian, niece Natalie Cunningham, nephew Thomas Ross Wright, great nephew/godson Justin Ross Rupp (Erika) his two children Preston Ross Rupp and John Ryan Rupp, great nephew Thomas Wright and his children Shailynn, Caine Michael Wright, and Hadlee Jo, great niece/ goddaughter Tora Cunningham, special friend Antonio Urrutia of Miami, FL, as well as cousins and many friends from the Northeast to the South. Ross will forever be in our hearts until we all meet again.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert Spencer, his mother Rebecca Spencer, beloved grandparents, and aunts.
