Charles B. Williamson Services for Charles B. Williamson will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 1:00 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Mike Vick officiating. Burial will be in Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Frazier Grove Community, Kemper County. Mr. Williamson, 86, of Collinsville died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Williamson was raised in Kemper County. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and served in the European Theatre during 1944-1946. Mr. Willimason also served in the 66th Black Panther's Division. He retired from Miller Transporters. He had a talent for building anything such as tractors and 3 wheelers out of Volkswagens. Mr. Williamson drilled wells and worked on and built many other things. He enjoyed talking about the war and visiting with his family on Sunday afternoons. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Maurine Willamson of Collinsville; children, Zona Thompson and her husband Sidney of Meridian, Sue Martin of Toomsuba, Regina Williams and her husband Ben of Scooba, Darla Guy and her husband Greg of Meridian, Tony Williamson and his wife Angela of Meridian; grandchildren, Chad Thompson, Beth Hall, Luke Thompson, John Thompson, Jennifer Flake, Carlton Watt, Justin Watt, Gregory Guy, Jr. and Ashley Mercado; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Bob Williamson of Collinsville; sisters, Arlene Baker of Collinsville and Iwana Hayes of Quitman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Esther Williamson; sister, Carlene Galli; brothers, Norwood Williamson and Steven Williamson. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
