Mr. Woodall, 87, of Meridian, died Thursday, October 31, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, at his home.
He was a graduate of Center Hill High School and served his nation in the Mississippi Air National Guard. Charlie founded Woodall Electric in 1964, which has been in continuous operation for 60 years. His work was his passion and he enjoyed being with this employees and his clients. His family was his pride and joy and he loved to be with them at all times. Charlie was generous, humble, and supportive of those around him. Charlie was active and served on the Boards of The Mississippi State Board of Contractors, served on the Board of the Mid-Mississippi Economic Development Board, Lauderdale Economic Development Authority (now EMBDC), Citizens National Bank, and the Lamar School Board of Trustees. He also enjoyed meeting with his friends at Anderson’s Breakfast Club. He was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church where he faithfully served and attended as long as his health permitted. Charlie was a self-made man, bringing himself up by his bootstraps and made sure that God and his family came first in all that he did.
