Charlie Ann Geer

A private graveside service for Mrs. Charlie Ann Steelman Geer will be held at a later date. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Geer, age 81, of Meridian passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at The Preserve surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Geer was born on August 14, 1944 to the late William and Ouida Steelman in Indianola, Mississippi. She graduated from Indianola High School. Later in life, she graduated with her masters in Psychology from Mississippi State University. In 1992, she married the love of her life, Dr. David Geer. Together, they embodied what it meant to be a loving, caring, and nurturing couple – always showing kindness to those around them. Charlie touched the lives of many through her unwavering faith and strong Christian values. She counseled many who had lost their path through her organization, Refuge Christian Recovery. Her devotion to the Lord was not only inspiring but impactful.

Survivors include her sons, Jim Carruth (Alisha) and Bill Carruth (Leslie); her grandchildren, Nash, Ella, and William; her brother, Joe Steelman (Libby); and numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. David Geer, her granddaughter, Alexandra Garnett Carruth, and her parents.

In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Geer be made to the local charity of your choice.
