Chester Dale McNeely Funeral services for Chester Dale McNeely will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mississippi Veterans Cemetery, with Dr. John Temple officiating. Mr. McNeely, 91, of Meridian, died Sunday, September 28, at his home after a long illness. Mr. McNeely, a World War II veteran and member of Highland Baptist Church, was formerly from Kansas City, Missouri and Memphis, Tennessee, where he was employed with Continental Trailways Bus Corporation, before moving to Meridian. He leaves behind his wife of 72 years, Joan McNeely; a brother, Maurice McNeely (Nancy); a sister-in-law, Imogene McNeely; two daughters, Patricia Doolin (Terry) and Susan Roddy (David); five grandchildren, Tim Doolin, Todd Doolin (Amy), Heather Whitehead ( Peter), John Few and Wendy Knuth (Scott); twelve great-grandchildren, Amy Few, Susan Few, Madison Few, Kaitlyn Knuth, Kathryn Knuth, Timmy Doolin, Megan Doolin, Conner Doolin, Ryan Doolin, Caleb Whitehead, Avery Whitehead, and Abby Grace Whitehead; and several nephews and nieces. Mr. McNeely was preceded in death by his father, Guy McNeely, and his mother, Opal McNeely.
