Chris "Gravy" Gray

Funeral services for Chris Gray will be held Friday, June 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Brother Justin Culpepper officiating.  Burial will follow at Mississippi Veterans Cemetery in Newton.

Chris, 31, of Meridian, passed away June 7, 2016.

Chris was born and raised in Meridian and graduated from Clarkdale Attendance Center. Shortly after graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corp, where he proudly served for five years. While stationed at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, he was also deployed to Iraq and Korea. Chris was a man of God who loved all kinds of music, being outdoors, hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.  He was a loyal son, brother, and friend who was loved by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Pamela Gray and father, Berry Gray and his wife, Tina; brother, Jake Gray and sister, Olivia Gray; step-sister, Cierra Street; niece, Camryn Gray and nephew, Preston Gray, and niece Addyson Street; grandmother, Eileen Carter; girlfriend, Kimberly Townsend and her children; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He’s also survived by his military brothers and co-workers, who were considered family as well.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Vernice Jenkins; paternal grandfather, Berry Gray, Jr.
