Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Newell Patton will begin at 1:00pm Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Patton, 95, of Senatobia formerly of Meridian, passed away, surrounded by her family, Friday, February 1, 2019 at Senatobia Nursing Home and Rehab.

Mrs. Christine was formerly a member of First Baptist Church of Lauderdale, where she was very active and sang in the choir. She was an avid bowler and was on a bowling league in Meridian as well as Knoxville, TN. She loved to garden and tend to her flowers as well as vegetables. Her favorite flower was the African Violet. Mrs. Christine was active and enjoyed exercising as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Patton will be remembered as a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mrs. Christine is survived by her Daughter, Peggie Micomonaco (Joe); son, John Patrick Patton (Vickie); daughter-in-law, Linda Patton McLaurin (Harrel). Grandchildren, Billie Patton Holland (Tim), Deena Patton, Dawn Patton, Mike Spangler (Lori), Cye Patton (Shenice), Ben Patton (Rhonda), Tyler Patton (Sandy), Kristie Ingram, Herbert Ingram (Lisa); 29 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Sisters, Shirley Clarke (Bill), and Mary Rutledge; special friend, Linda Till, as well as a host of extended family members.

Mrs. Patton is preceded in death by husband, Buel B. Patton, Sr.; son, Buel B. “Bill” Patton, Jr. Brothers, John Frank Newell, J.M. Newell; sisters, Hazel Meadows, and Dorothy Hunnicutt.
