Claire Bidgood graduated from Meridian High School in 1946. She was a member of the DBS (Dusty) Social Club and attended Ole Miss, where she was selected a class beauty and was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She married Charles "Bubber" Bidgood on December 26, 1948. Claire was a member of the Meridian Junior Auxiliary and was a Phi Kappa Fraternity Mom. She was a substitute teacher at Meridian High School, enjoyed bowling with friends, deep sea fishing, Ole Miss sports (especially football), and being with her family. She is survived by her children, Charles S. (Kathy) Bidgood, III, John David Bidgood, and Sally Kate (B.B.) Archer; grandchildren, Hallie Claire Archer, Anne Clay Archer, Sally Kate Archer, Charles S. "Bo" Bidgood, IV, and Catheryn Brooke Bidgood. Claire was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Bidgood, Jr.; her parents, James S. and Hallie Anderson Harrington; brothers, Col. William Harrington, Edwin Harrington, Joe Louis Harrington, Fred Harrington, and John "Tiny" Harrington. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 31, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service. The family requests memorials be made in her honor to the charity of your choice.
