Clarence O. Culpepper Graveside services for Clarence O. Culpepper will be held Monday, January 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Ryan Culpepper officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Culpepper, age 89, of Chunky, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at his residence. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army Air Corps and a Mason. He was a farmer and loved taking care of his cows. Before retirement, he was a road construction superintendent, having worked on numerous projects throughout Mississippi and Alabama. Survivors include his wife of 61 years Mary L. Culpepper of Chunky; son George R. Culpepper and wife Ann of Meridian; daughters Mary Kay Culpepper and husband Dr. Cullen Clark of Birmingham, AL, and Kay Nell Thomas and husband Edward of Meridian; grandchildren Daniel Culpepper and wife Emily of Madison, and David Culpepper and wife Carrie of Bossier City, LA; step-grandson, Ryan Thomas and wife Ashley of Huntsville, AL; twin great-granddaughters Addison and Hayden Culpepper of Madison; sister Bobbie Walker of Meridian; sister-in-law Louise Culpepper of Meridian; brother-in-law James Lansmon and wife Edith of Cape Girardeau, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Lela Culpepper; brother James L. Culpepper; and brother-in-law Davis Walker.
