Services for Clarence W. McElroy, Jr. (Bill) will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rodney Ward and Dr. Gary Blair officiating. Burial will be in Toomsuba Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. McElroy, 57, died March 12, 2014, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Bill was born in Meridian, Mississippi on November 19, 1956. He served in the United States Army and retired from Meridian Naval Air Station. He was a long time member of Toomsuba Baptist Church and the Toomsuba Volunteer Fire Department. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar Racing and baseball. Some of his favorite memories were of the boys he coached in little league baseball and the good times he had with friends at the hunting camp. He will always be remembered as a loving son, husband, brother, father, and friend.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-one years, Mavis McElroy of Toomsuba; father Clarence W. McElroy, Sr. and wife Marjorie of Meridian; mother, Marlene Neal of Meridian; daughters, Britney McElroy Pippin and husband Andy of Toomsuba; Tesha McElroy and grandchildren, Austin, Cole, and Ashtyn of Spring Branch, Texas; sons, Rodney Ward and wife Kim and grandchildren, Seth, Josh, Luke and Leah of Berry, Alabama and Scott Ward of Toomsuba; brother, Jason Rogers and wife Deree of Meridian and sisters, Lynn McElroy Blackmon and husband Wayne of Brandon, Trish McElroy Drinkwater and husband John of Russell and one nephew and numerous nieces.

Pallbearers are Jason Gully, Greg Gully, Marcus Gully, Chris Nutt, Justin Robertson and Brad Robertson. Honorary pallbearers are Freddy Gully, Tommy Nutt, Billy Barrett, Bobby Barrett and Gary Pickett.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
