Clarice M. Griffis Services for Clarice M. Griffis will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 at 10:30 at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Raymon Leake officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Griffis, 78, of Meridian, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a retired Registered Nurse. She worked with Anderson Hospital and Meridian Public Schools. Mrs. Griffis and her husband, Pete, served as superintendent for many years at the Masonic Home for Children. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Meridian. Mrs. Griffis loved spending time with her family and friends, she also enjoyed gardening. Survivors include her daughter, Clair Huff and her husband, Brad of Meridian; son, Kenny Griffis and his wife Mary Helen of Ridgeland, MS; grandchildren, Sarah Margaret Huff, Laura Huff, Miles Huff, Meredith Huff, Sean Michael O'Hara, T.K. Griffis III, Edwin Griffis, Robert Griffis and Parker Griffis; brother, Raymond Moore and his wife Rowena of Meridian; sister, Betty Coker of Meridian; brother, Brooks Moore and his wife Addie of Meridian; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.K. "Pete" Griffis. The family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church, Meridian,MS.
