Clifford E. Jack Holloway, Sr. Retired Educator Services for Clifford E. Jack Holloway will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 10:00 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Justin Knight and Mike Russell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Holloway, 86, of Meridian, died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. Being a veteran of World War II, he was a member of the VFW Post 79. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Marion and was a retired teacher, coach and principal at Northeast School in the Lauderdale County School System. After his retirement, he spent many hours on the golf course. Jack Holloway loved his family and his Trojans. He held his wife, Frances, in a special place in his heart. He admired and respected her as he did his children who he was very proud of. Gramps, Paw Paw, Numps enjoyed supporting his grandchildren on his shoulders when they were young and continued that support in other ways as they grew older. He will be missed by all of his family. He remained true to his Trojans till the end. Some of his fondest memories were from the games and the boys he coached. He always loved and supported his red and gray. Survivors include his wife, Frances Holloway; sons, Clifford "Scooter" Holloway, Jr. and Larry "Skip" Holloway and his wife, Debbie all of Meridian; grandchildren, Augusta Holloway of Birmingham, Eli Holloway of Quitman, Joey Holloway and his wife Vanna of Ellisville, Josh Holloway of Meridian, Clifford Holloway, III of Meridian; step-grandchildren, James "Skeeter" Dial, Brandy Rodgers, Jonathan Thrasher all of Meridian; step-great-grandchildren, Haylee Dray Taylor; brothers, Danny Holloway and his wife, Pat of Meridian, Jimmy Holloway of West; special friends, Julie Holloway and Rhonda Graham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Myrtle Holloway. Pallbearers will be Joe Joe Miller, Leonard Cobb, Tommy Winfield, David Wright, Stanley Gressett, and Billy McWilliams.
