Clifford "Sonny" Meadows Funeral services for Sonny Meadows will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Boles officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Mississippi Veterans Cemetery in Newton. Mr. Meadows, age 72, of Meridian, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at the Golden Living Center. Sonny was owner of C & C Transmission, formerly B Street Auto and was a transmission specialist for most of his life. He attended The Evangel Temple Church where he was baptized on August 24, 2014. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and loved Alabama football, fishing, and eating. The greatest joy of his life was his family. He is survived by the mother of his children, Paulette Meadows; children, Sonya Boles (David), Benita Shirley (William), Connie Davidson (Frank), Van Meadows, Chad Meadows (Carrie); grandchildren, Jeff Boles, Kyle Johnson, Brittany Boles Wiggins, Kristan Shirley Kelly, Garrett Meadows, Caleb Meadows, Klaire Shirley, Kaylin Shirley, Logan Meadows, Jonah Davidson, Maggie Meadows, and Mallory Meadows; great grandchildren, Callie Shearer, Autumn Johnson, Liam Johnson, Asher Boles, McCartney Boles, and Ezra Boles; sister, Sharon Cleveland (Curtis), loving daughter-in-law Paula Meadows; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Catherine Meadows; granddaughter, April Davidson Shearer; and special uncles, Elliott Meadows and Max Sorrell.
