Clifton "Douglas" Mcelhenney

Funeral services for Mr. Douglas McElhenney will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Sephus Garrett officiating. Burial will follow at the Mississippi Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Newton.

Mr. McElhenney, age 71, of Lauderdale passed away May 12, 2018 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. McElhenney loved his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and being outdoors. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, papa, and friend. Mr. McElhenney proudly served his country in the Mississippi Air National Guard 186th ARG at Key Field.

Survivors include his wife Brenda McElhenney; children, Bryan Douglas McElhenney, Joey McElhenney, and Anunciata Schwebel; grandchildren, Samantha McElhenney, Ty Schwebel, Kileigh Schwebel, and Breanna Kaye Garrison; brother, Wade McElhenney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, H.C. (Mac) and Elizabeth McElhenney and his brother, Harvey Earl McElhenney.
