Comilla Mathews Buntyn Services for Comilla Mathews Buntyn will be held Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11:30 A.M. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Earl Wheatley officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Buntyn, 83, of Meridian, died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Comilla was a loving and devoted wife, a very kind, gentle and compassionate Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She always thought of others ahead of herself and was loved by all. She was a member of Northpark Church, Meridian, MS. Survivors include her husband Alston Buntyn; son, Mark Buntyn and his wife Johna of Lake Providence, LA; daughter, Gretchen Buntyn Dean of Brandon, MS; granddaughter, Melissa Newman and her husband Lee of Brandon, MS; grandson, Russ Buntyn and his wife Katy of Monroe, LA; grandson, Street Buntyn of Lake Providence, LA; grandson, Michael Dean and his wife Andrea of Houston, TX; granddaughter, Katherine Dean of Huntsville, AL; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Mathews; mother, Ola Mathews Whinery; brothers, Clanton Mathews and Dallas Mathews; parents in law, E.L. and Callie Buntyn; and son in law, Robert Dean. Pallbearers will be Russ Buntyn, Street Buntyn, Michael Dean, Lee Newman, Melvin Barnett, Bennie Barnett, Mathew Parker and J.D. Bridges.
