Craig B. Salcfas

Mr. Craig Salcfas, age 69, of Meridian, Mississippi passed away October 30, 2024 at the University of Alabama Medical Center.

Craig, a Bronx, NY native with a passion for both cooking and fishing, trained as a chef in upstate New York after high school. Following his culinary studies, he moved to Georgia and later to California, where he eventually managed food services within the California prison system. After retiring, he and his wife, Sherri Koch, settled in Meridian, Mississippi.

Mr. Salcfas was preceded in death by his wife, Sherri Ann Koch-Salcfas, and his parents, Jerome and Marcia Salcfas.

Survivors include his son, Howard Salcfas; his siblings, Steve Salcfas and Cherie Salcfas Steinberg; his step-children, Max Koch and Nicole Koch; and three grandchildren, Liam, Riley, and Ara.
