Dale Bruce Cornwell, Sr. Funeral service for Dale Bruce Cornwell, Sr. will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Brandon Speak, Reverend Steve Craft, and Reverend James Kimbrough officiating. Burial will be at MS State Veterans Cemetery in Newton Mississippi with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Cornwell, 66, of Lauderdale passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Mr. Cornwell was employed with Lockheed Martin, the Regional Counter Drug Training Academy at NAS Meridian, and the MS Air National Guard. Mr. Cornwell was a member of Lockhart Church of God Holiness and volunteered through his church ministry at Golden Living Nursing Center. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Cornwell of Lauderdale; mother, Elieen Mavis Cornwell of Lauderdale; mother-in-law, Adell Craft of Lauderdale; children, Dale Bruce Cornwell, Jr. and wife, Michelle of Cumming, Georgia, David Brian Cornwell and wife, April of Rockvale, Tennessee, Chris Goodwin and wife, Melissa of Lauderdale and Pam Swearingen and Ken Long of Lauderdale; grandchildren, Jackson Cornwell, Preston, Andrew, Chase and Madison Cornwell, Ben White and wife, Cassie, Dylan Swearingen, Chris Swearingen and wife, Tracey, Makenlee Goodwin; brother, Jerry Cornwell and Roger Cornwell; sister, Jean Kron and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Preston Cornwell and his brother, Phillip Cornwell. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital. Pallbearers will be Joel Durant, Jimmy Irby, Raymond Mitchell, Roger Shirley, Jubal Ryan and Lester Hopkins. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at robertbarhamffh.com.
