Daniel "Dan" Kerr

Graveside services will begin at 10:00 am Thursday, October 10, 2019, at The Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS. Interment will follow with military honors. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Dan, 59, of Meridian, formerly of Ft. Wayne, IN, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019, at Rush Foundation Hospital of Meridian.

Dan was a golfer through and though having gained the nick name "Birdie Dan." He enjoyed playing at any opportunity. He was a family man, who loved his wife, daughters, sons-in-law, and granddaughter dearly. He loved his pets, especially his dog, Rex. He was retired after 20 years of service with the U.S. Navy and then continued work as a civilian for an additional 10 years.

Mr. Kerr is survived by his wife of over 36 years, Susan Kerr; daughters, Jamie King (William), Michelle Saravia (Johnny), one granddaughter, Natalie King. Two sisters, Janet Young (John), and Tammy Crouch(Bob) as well as numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.

Mr. Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Phyllis Kerr.
