Daniel Wayne "Danny" Palmer, Jr.

Memorial services for Danny Palmer will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021, 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Lanier officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Daniel W. Palmer, Jr., age 50, of Meridian passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at this home.

A 1989 graduate of Lamar School, Mr. Palmer went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi. His 30 years as a nurse were spent serving at hospitals in the cities of Meridian, Vicksburg and Jackson in Mississippi, Springfield, Massachusetts, Tampa in Florida, and Memphis Tennessee. The last 7 years of his career were spent as a Nurse Educator for Philips North America, where he covered hospitals in Mississippi, Alabama, and the panhandle of Florida. Through the field of nursing and serving his beloved church, he was able to fulfill a desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Above all of this, he loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Palmer is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kimberly Palmer; children, Jacob Palmer (Faith), Jaxson Palmer, and Jillianne Palmer; grandson, Daniel Palmer; father, Daniel Wayne “Danny” Palmer, Sr. (Rubye), siblings, Tony Boyd, Ronda Steed, Pam Tew, and Vicky Morgan; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kaye Palmer.

The family wishes memorial contributions would be made to Vision Fund at Northcrest Baptist Church, P.O. Box 3159, Meridian, MS 39303.

The family will receive friends and family Thursday, December 16, 2021, 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. prior to service.
