Danny M. Holloway Services for Danny M. Holloway will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Lamar Lifer officiating. Burial will be in Forest lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Holloway, 84, of Meridian died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over fifty years. Mr. Holloway retired from WTOK TV after thirty-nine years and was the founding member of Danny and The Dudes Country Music Group. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He will always be remembered for his love of family, friends, church and music. Survivors include his wife Patsy (Pat) Holloway; one son Jeffery Holloway of Meridian, two daughters Amy Surmeli of Madison and Emily Shumate and husband Eddie of Athens, Georgia; grandchildren Brett Holloway and wife Elizabeth of Arlington, Tennessee and Collin and Lauren Shumate of Athens, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Ellis and Myrtle Holloway; two brothers Jack and Jimmy Holloway and a son-in-law Esin Surmeli Pallbearers will be Mark Schroder, Skip Holloway, Jimmy Crane, Glen Hancock, Terry Winstead and Burt Fuller. Honorary pallbearers will be Skeeter Gordon, Hollis Calvert, Charlie Harrison, Coleman Birdsong, Ted Reeves, Max Culpepper and the members of Truth Seekers Sunday School Class.
