Darren Smith Funeral services for Darren Smith will be held Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 11:00 am at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Doctor David Byrd and Brother Mike McKee officiating. Burial will be in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Smith, 48, of Kewanee, passed away March 9, at Anderson's Hospital. Darren was a loving and devoted husband and father. His life revolved around his high school sweetheart and their two sons. He was an active member of Cuba Baptist Church in Cuba, AL, where he was a Deacon and worked with the youth for many years. He was a proud supporter of Southeast Lauderdale Middle and High School athletics and a diehard racing fan. Darren deeply loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Jan; his sons, Jake and Ryan; his mother, Kathy Johnson; sister, Rhonda Smith (Jeff); brothers, Richie (Shrea) Johnson, Todd Johnson, Kenneth (Gin) Johnson; mother-in-law, Joyce Reed; sisters-in-law, Missy (TR) Cook, Kim (David) Burton; special grandmother, Clora Westbrook; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Johnson and his father-in-law, Doug Reed; grandparents, Lawrence and Zora Riley and JB and Angelina Johnson. Pallbearers will be David Burton, TR Cook, Eric Irby, Bobby Truelove, Jeff Johnson, Charles Black, Andrew Black, and Michael Dennis.
