David C. Gleason II Services for David C. Gleason II will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Frank Cosgrove officiating. All friends are welcome to share the celebration of his life. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Gleason, age 97, of Meridian, died Friday, September 20, 2013 in Jackson, MS. A lifelong devoted parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church, he made a promise to the Lord during WW2 that if he survived he would attend daily Mass. That promise was honored to the very end of his 97 years of service to church, country, friends and family. He was simply a lovely man, and a vigorous role model for his children. Survivors include his widow, Dorothy Yochim Gleason; children; David C. Gleason III, Mary Frances Gleason, Patrick M. Gleason and Daniel L. Gleason; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wives, Mary Frances Stroble Gleason and Althea Nicovich Gleason; and son, Edward J. Gleason.
